2 cups flour
3 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1./2 ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup chopped nuts
2/3 cup mashed cooked or canned pumpkin
1/2 cup heavy cream
In medium bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Cut in butter or margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts. Mix pumpkin and cream until well blended. Stir into flour mixture to form stiff. dough. Turn out on floured surface and with floured hands knead lightly a few strokes. Pat into circle 1/2 inch thick and with biscuit cutter cut out 16 to 20 biscuits. Bake on greased cookie sheet in preheated 425 degree F. oven 20 minutes or until golden. Good hot with butter and jelly.
